Dawn has been with the Amherst Veterinary Clinic since 1996 and is now our practice manager.
Working with animals has always been a passion for Dawn. “My parents remind me that I didn’t want presents or a birthday party when I turned 13. That was the age you needed to be to join the Danbury Animal Welfare Society so I asked only to be dropped off at the dog pound to volunteer.”
Since that day she has continued in the field, gaining extensive knowledge in animal care and behavior.
She lives with her husband of 37 years, a Chihuahua, a cat, chickens and a blind duck. She is an avid hiker and gardener and enjoys bikram yoga and kayaking when she is not out visiting with her registered therapy dog.
